Verify that your environment meets the system requirements to perform 1-Touch recovery for Windows and UNIX file systems with Commvault Cloud, and then complete necessary setup in the Commvault Cloud software.
Before You Begin
-
If your network has firewall topology configured, then create a server group with the network settings required for 1-Touch operations. For more information, see Network Connectivity.
-
If filters are added to the subclient configuration and they filter out operating system components, then the restored machine may encounter operating system issues.
-
1-Touch is not enabled by default for Linux clients based on the PPC architecture. Use the The Relax-and-Recover (ReaR) tool, which is integrated with the Commvault Cloud software. For more information, see Bare Metal Recovery for PPC Architecture Using 1-Touch for UNIX.
-
You cannot perform 1-Touch recovery of synthetic full backups on Linux subclients.

System state backup and 1-Touch recovery are enabled automatically for all default subclients created after January 10, 2025.
For older subclients, verify that system state backup or 1-Touch recovery is enabled for the default Windows or Linux subclients respectively.
Verify that the subclient backup content is defined as All or /. To exclude contents, use global or subclient filters.
In case system state backup or 1-Touch recovery is currently disabled for an older default subclient, see Configuring System State and 1-Touch Backups for Subclients.
-
For interactive 1-Touch recovery, download the ISO file for 1-Touch if you are performing an interactive recovery.
