To back up SAP HANA databases Commvault cloud infrastructure, configure backups for SAP HANA using cloud storage.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database overview page appears.

In the upper-right area of the page, click Add server.
The Configure Database Server page appears.

Select SAP HANA.

Click Next.
The Select Your Database Environment page appears.

Select Database running on-premises.

From the Infrastructure list, select the type of database infrastructure.
An active trial or an active subscription is required.

Click CONTINUE.
The How do you want to deploy your backup? page appears.

Select Backup direct to cloud.

Click Next.
The Cloud Storage page appears.

For the primary copy of the backup data, select existing cloud storage or create new cloud storage.

Decide whether to store a secondary copy of the backup data for long-term retention.

Click Next.
The Plan page appears.

Select an existing backup plan or create a new backup plan.

Click Next.

The Install Package page appears.

Download and install the SAP HANA server package on the SAP HANA server to be protected.

Install the SAP HANA server package on the server you want to back up and authenticate using the authcode.

In the Server name box, enter the name for the newly installed server to be protected.

Click Next.
The Backup Content page appears.

Review the list of instances that will be protected and click NEXT.
The Summary page appears

Review the summary and click Finish.
