To search the contents of files in Commvault Cloud search environments such as Compliance Search, you must content index the files.
Indexing Levels
Basic Indexing
With basic indexing, you can search on the attributes of an item, such as file name, file type, and modified time. By default, the site contents are not indexed. This level of indexing is achieved by running a content indexing job not a backup job.
Advanced Content Indexing
With advanced content indexing, you can do the following:

Search on the contents of files.

Search on the attributes of an item, such as file name, file type, and modified time.
