You can restore a specific backup job or multiple backup jobs at the same time directly to a location on a disk without the use of SAP HANA. These restores are also useful for troubleshooting network errors. The data from different backup jobs are passed to the client so that all the interleaved backup jobs are restored in parallel. You can restore data backup and log backup associated with specific backup jobs, such as full or incremental in parallel streams. You can also submit multiple restore jobs from full and incremental backups.
Note
If the user has encrypted backups, then after restoring the data and logs to the disk location, they must ensure that the encryption root key is manually recovered before starting the DB recovery. For more information on how to recover root key, see Backing up and Recovering Encryption Keys.
