Restoring Rows to a Different Location for Dynamics 365

You can restore one or more rows from a table for a Dynamics 365 app to a different location.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Dynamics 365.

    The Overview tab appears.

  2. On the Apps tab, click the app that contains the table rows you want to restore.

    The Overview tab appears.

  3. On the Tables tab, select the checkbox beside the table that you want to restore, and then click Restore > Restore rows.

    A list of rows appears.

  4. Beside each row that you want to restore, select the checkbox, and then at the top of the page, click Restore.

    The Restore options tool appears.

  5. On the Destination tab, select Restore the data to another location, specify the location for the restore, and then click Next:

    • To specify a different destination client for the restore, move the Restore to a different client toggle key to the right, and in the Destination client list, select a Dynamics 365 app.

    • In the Destination environment box, click Browse, in the Select an environment dialog box, select an environment from the list, and then click Submit.

    • To restore to a specific folder location, in the Folder box, click Browse, select a folder from the list, and then click Submit.

    The Options tab appears.

  6. Beside If the record exists, specify which items to include in the restore, and then click Next:

    • To not overwrite existing records, select Skip.

    • To overwrite existing records, select Unconditionally overwrite.

    The Review tab appears.

  7. Review the records you selected for restore, and then click Submit to start the restore operation.

    The Summary tab appears.

  8. Click Close.
