Note
-
In table relationship backups, only many-to-one relationships are backed up and are backed up to three levels.
-
Related rows can be restored in place up to three levels.
What Is Not Backed Up
- Audit logs
- Table schemas. For instructions about restoring a table schema after it's been changed, in the Microsoft documentation, see Copy Over Customizations and Schemas Only.
- Dynamics 365 on-prem is not supported
What Cannot Be Restored
- Relationships cannot be restored out-of-place. Relationships up to 3 levels can be restored in-place.
- If a table schema changes, data older than 28 days cannot be restored.
Other Known Limitations
- You can only use the compare feature for records.
- If you plan to perform an out-of-place restore, you must copy the table schema before performing the restore because the source and destination table schema must match. For instructions about restoring a table schema after it's been changed, in the Microsoft documentation, see Copy Over Customizations and Schemas Only.
