You can restore an entire team, a channel, or Teams items such as posts and files to the original location or to a different location. For files, in addition to restoring to the original location or to another location, you can also restore to a file location.
Note
-
You can restore only Teams uploaded files at a file location. Posts and channels cannot be restored to a file location.
-
To restore a post to its original location, you must obtain a delegated access token. It is recommended to use a dedicated service account with an Office 365 or Teams Exploratory license to acquire the token.
After the restore is complete, you can view all the associated details of the restore job. For more information, see Viewing Restore Operation Details.
