Commvault Cloud offers data protection services using both Commvault hosted infrastructure and customer hosted infrastructure.
Commvault Hosted Infrastructure
With this method, Commvault Cloud hosts the necessary infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, and you simply connect to your cloud to seamlessly protect your data.
Commvault Cloud hosted infrastructure is available in many regions to ensure that your backup data adheres to geographic compliance requirements. See the following pages:
Customer Hosted Infrastructure (Backup Gateway)
With this method, you host a backup gateway in your cloud account or on-premises. Commvault Cloud connects to this backup gateway to protect and recover your workloads that run in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (GC), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or workloads that run in your datacenter.
To understand the use cases for protecting your workloads using a backup gateway, see Use Cases on the Backup Gateways page.
