To verify that the PostgreSQL instance is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.
Back Up the Instance

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview page appears.

Go to the Instances tab.

In the row for the instance, click the action button
, and then click Backup. Alternatively, click the instance, and click Backup on the instance overview page.
The Backup dialog box appears.

Select a subclient to back up and click Select.
The Backup options dialog box appears.

Click Submit.
Restore the Instance

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview page appears.

Go to Instances tab.

In the row for the instance, click the action button
, and then click Restore. Alternately, click the instance, and then click Restore on the Recovery points tile.
The Backup content dialog box appears.

Select the database(s), and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

You can perform In place or Out of place restore as per the requirement.

Click Submit.
