Getting Started with Azure PostgreSQL Database

Complete the necessary setup for backing up Azure PostgreSQL Database.

Procedure

1. Verify that your environment meets the system requirements.

2. Configure access to Azure resources.

3. Complete the database guided setup for Azure PostgreSQL server using any one of the following options:

   • Backup gateway: Configure Azure database backups using a backup gateway. Use this method when Azure PostgreSQL server databases cannot be accessed using a public endpoint.

   • Commvault Cloud Infrastructure: Configure Azure PostgreSQL server database backups using the Commvault Cloud infrastructure. Use this method when Azure PostgreSQL server databases can be accessed using a public endpoint.

4. Perform a test backup and restore.
