The secret key is a unique 16-character alphanumeric code that is required during the set up of PIN generating tools such as the Microsoft Authenticator app. The secret key is issued for the first time that you log on to Commvault Cloud.
Important
Save the secret key so that you can access it later. The secret key is required the first time that you log on to Commvault Cloud after two-factor authentication (which is a form of multi-factor authentication) is enabled.
Before You Begin

The administrator must have enabled two-factor authentication for the company. For more information, see Enabling Two-Factor Authentication for Local Users.

This must be the first time you log on to Commvault Cloud after two-factor authentication is enabled.
Procedure

Go to https://login.metallic.io/.

Enter your login credentials, and then click OK.
A message appears with instructions for configuring an authenticator application using the QR code or the key. -
Use the QR code or the key to configure an authenticator application.
For example, configure the Microsoft Authenticator app.
