Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security process that requires users to provide two different authentication factors to verify their identity. This adds an extra layer of protection beyond just a password, making it more difficult for unauthorized individuals to access sensitive information.
In Commvault Cloud, two-factor authentication is automatically enabled. Upon their first login to Commvault Cloud, each user must set up a secret key that is required to configure PIN-generating tools such as the Microsoft Authenticator app. You can also configure a roaming or platform authenticator.
