Importing ServiceNow Companies Into the Commvault MSP Portal

You can import companies from ServiceNow into the Commvault MSP Portal.

Before You Begin

Procedure

  1. From the Commvault MSP Portal, at the top of the page, click Manage All Accounts.

    The Command Center appears.

  2. Click Manage > System.

    The System page appears.

  3. Click the ServiceNow Integration tile.

    The ServiceNow Integration page appears.

  4. Click the Companies tab to view a list of ServiceNow companies that have been discovered by the Commvault MSP Portal.

    Note

At any time, at the top of the Companies tab, you can click Discover to discover more ServiceNow companies.

  5. Select the companies you want to import, and then click Import.

The Confirm Import dialog box appears.

  6. Click Yes.

The selected ServiceNow companies are now created as companies in the Command Center (and mirrored in the Commvault MSP Portal).

The following attributes are automatically populated in the Commvault MSP Portal (with data pulled from ServiceNow):

    • Company Name

    • Customer ID

    • Address

      IMPORTANT

      • The company must be assigned a country in ServiceNow, or the import will fail.

      • A valid address for the company must be entered in ServiceNow, or the import will fail.

      • If the company is located in the United States, the Zip/Postal code field in ServiceNow must be entered, or the import will fail.

      • If a state abbreviation for a United States company entry in ServiceNow is not in its ISO abbreviated form (for example, NY, PA, CA), the import will fail.

      • The company is created on the Commvault MSP Portal workload ring for its respective country.

    • Admin Details

      IMPORTANT

If the company admin's name and email address do not exist in ServiceNow, the import will fail.

    Note

If a company fails to import successfully, it will show a status of FAILED in the Status column. To view the reason for the failed import, hover your mouse over the word FAILED.
