Global Command Center - Data Views for the VM Backup Health Report

This report includes tiles and information table.

Status Tiles

  • Total VMs: The total number of virtual machines that were configured at CommCell level.

  • VMs Backed-up: The number of virtual machines that met SLA in the given time range.

  • VMs Not Backed-up: The number of virtual machines that missed SLA in the given time range.

  • Never Backed-up VMs: The number of virtual machines that were never backed-up.

  • Excluded VMs: The number of virtual machines that were excluded from SLA.

  • VMs without successful snapshot: The number of virtual machines without the snapshot.

Hypervisor Status

This table displays each user and user group, their associated entities, their assigned roles, and related permissions. If you select Show Never Backed-up VMs from the filter Options, the VMs that were never backed up with unprotected count is displayed.

Column

Description

Hypervisor

Name of hypervisor.

Associated VMs

Number of virtual machines associated with the selected hypervisor.

VMs Backed-Up

Number of VMs backed up.

VMs Not Backed-Up

Number of VMs not backed up.

Configured access node

Access node that is configured on the VM group or at the hypervisor

Hypervisor Type

The name of the vendor.

Last Failed Job ID

The ID of the backup job that failed.

Last Failed Job Time

The time that the backup failed.

Virtual Machines

This table displays the details of the virtual machines configured on the Commvault Cloud environment for the selected Company.

The following are the filters under Options that can be applied to this table:

  • Show all VMs: Display the Virtual Machine table.

  • Show unprotected VMs: Display the VMs not backed up table.

  • Show Never Backed-up VMs: Display the Never backed-up VM table.

    Column

    Description

    VM

    Name of the VM.

    Hypervisor

    Name of the hypervisor.

    Hypervisor Type

    Type of the hypervisor (for example, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, etc.).

    VM Group

    Name of the VM group.

    Last Backup Time

    Date and time that the last backup should have occurred.

    Guest Size (GB)

    Size of the VM.

    Reason

    Reason why VM was not backed up (for example, No Schedule, No job within SLA Period, Backup job failed, etc.).

    Failure Reason

    If the Reason (see above) was Backup job failed, the reason for the failure.

    Last Successful Snap Copied Job ID

    The job ID for the last successful snap backup copy.

    Last Successful Snap Copied Job Time

    Number of days since the last successful snap backup copy.

    SLA Category

    Indicates the SLA category, such as No job in the selected time period, No Schedule, or Failed.

    SLA Days

    The number of SLA days configured for the VM.

    VM tool status

    The status of the virtual machine tool like VMWare.

    CommCell

    The name of the CommCell.

    Company

    The name of the company.

    Backup Copy Failure Reason

    The reason for failure of the backup copy.

    Backupset

    The name of the backupset.

    Last VM Admin Job ID

    The admin job ID of the virtual machine.

    Last VM Job ID

    The job ID of the virtual machine.

    Last Backup Copy Job ID

    The job ID of the backup copy.

    Last Used Access Node

    The name of the access node used for the VM.

    Snap Jobs Pending to be backup copied

    The number of snap jobs that are pending for backup copy.
