You can create a credential to access a network drive that you want to assign as the backup location for disk storage. You can also specify a user or a member of a user group who can modify the credential information, such as the credential password and the security permissions. The owner can also assign a new credential owner.
Procedure

Access the Backup Location dialog box using one of the following methods:

Configuring disk storage as a storage target

Click Network to use a network drive as the disk access path.

Move the Use saved credentials toggle key to the right.

Click the + sign to create new credentials to access a network drive.
The Add credential dialog box appears.

Enter the following information:

In the Credential name box, enter a name for the credential.

In the User name and Password boxes, type the credentials for a user who has write access to the network device.
Note
For user name in domain accounts, use the domain\username format.

Click Save.
