Creating a Cloud Storage for SAP HANA Server Backups on Azure

You can create a cloud storage for SAP HANA Server backups on Azure using the Air Gap Protect or Microsoft Azure Storage.

Procedure

  1. Click add + button.

    The Add cloud storage dialog box appears.

  2. From the Type list, select Air Gap Protect or Microsoft Azure Storage.

  3. If you select Air Gap Protect, do the following:

    1. From the Cloud storage provider list, select the provider.

    2. From the Storage class list, select the storage class for the type of access that you want to have for the data.

    3. From the Region list, select the region.

  4. If you select Microsoft Azure Storage, do the following:

    1. In the Type box, the Microsoft Azure Storage is selected.

    2. In the Name box, enter a name for the cloud storage.

    3. From the Storage class list, select the storage class for the type of access that you want to have for the data.

    4. The Region is selected by default.

    5. The Commvault Cloud software populates the Service host box with the default value.

    6. From the Authentication list, select the type of authentication to use.

    7. In the Account name box, enter the name of the cloud account.

    8. For Credentials, select existing credentials or create new credentials.

      Steps to create credential
      1. Click +.

        The Add credential dialog box appears. Enter the following details:

        1. Credential Vault: select a credential vault from the list.

        2. Credential name: Enter a name for the credentials that you are creating.

        3. Tenant ID: Enter the tenant ID for the account.

        4. Application ID: Enter the application ID for the tenant.

        5. Application secret: Enter the secret key value that is generated for the application.

        6. Environment: Enter the Azure cloud environment.

        7. Show endpoints: To show authentication, storage and management endpoints, move this toggle key to the right.

        8. Description: Enter a description of the credentials.

      2. Click Save.

  5. In the Container box, enter a name for the container.

  6. Click Save.
