Configuring Change Tracking in a Dynamics 365 Plan

You can enable change tracking for tables in a Dynamics 365 plan. When change tracking is enabled, the Commvault Cloud software tracks changes to the content protected by the Dynamics 365 plan.

When a new environment is added as backup content, the Commvault Cloud software enables change tracking as it automatically discovers pre-created custom tables or any customer-created tables that do not already have change tracking enabled.

This feature is useful in cases where Dynamics 365 users have not turned on changed tracking for their tables. You can enable change tracking for all backup content at once, without having to configure the feature for each table in Dynamics 365.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans.

  2. On the Dynamics 365 tab, select the Dynamics 365 plan where you want to enable change tracking.

  3. In the Backup section, move the Enable table tracking toggle key to the right.
