Configuring Backups for Azure Files

Complete the necessary setup for backing up Azure Files.

Procedure

1. Configure access to Azure resources.

2. Configure backups using one of the following methods:

   • Direct to cloud: Use this method to back up Azure File shares that can be accessed via a public endpoint. This method uses the Commvault Cloud infrastructure, so you don't need to configure your own backup gateways.

   • Backup gateway: Use this method to back up Azure File shares that cannot be accessed using a public endpoint. This method requires installing a backup gateway backup gateway adjacent to your Azure File share.
