Configuring Backups for Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2

Complete the necessary setup for backing up Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.

Procedure

1. If you do not have a registered Azure app, register a new Azure app.

2. Complete the database guided setup using one of the following methods:

   • Direct to cloud: Use this method to back up Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 that can be accessed via a public endpoint. This method uses the Commvault Cloud infrastructure, so you don't need to configure your own backup gateways.

   • Backup gateway: Use this method to back up Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 that cannot be accessed using a public endpoint. This method requires installing a backup gateway adjacent to your Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
