You can configure your Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 storage to back up directly to Commvault Cloud Azure storage without installing additional hardware or software. You can also back up your Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 storage to your own Azure storage.
Important
If you must have all data traffic reside in your Azure cloud account due to firewall restrictions or use Azure IAM VM roles, deploy a Commvault Cloud backup gateway. The backup gateway must be deployed in the same region as the data you are backing up.
If you want to deploy a backup gateway for your Azure account, contact Commvault Cloud Customer Success Manager.
To ensure that your backup data adheres to your geographic compliance requirements, Commvault Cloud sends your data to one of its Commvault Cloud Data Center Regions.
