The Azure database rule based auto discovery feature enables the automatic discovery of Azure MySQL database instances to be added, ensuring their backup on regular interval. The auto-discovery process operates based on user-defined rules.
This feature provides the following functionality:
-
The rule-based backup periodically discovers database instances.
-
Users can back up Azure database instances by selecting multiple instances via the browse functionality.
-
All databases within discovered instances must be backed up by default.
-
Rules and multi-select functionality are restricted to the selected region.
Tip
A valid cloud account is required to set rule based discovery.
