You can back up Azure Blob Storage directly to Commvault Cloud Azure storage without installing additional hardware or software. You can also back up to your own Azure storage.
Important
If you must have all data traffic reside in your Azure cloud account due to firewall restrictions or use Azure IAM VM roles, deploy a Commvault Cloud backup gateway. The backup gateway must be deployed in the same region as the data you are backing up.

To ensure that your backups adhere to geographic compliance requirements, Commvault Cloud sends your data to one of its supported Azure data centers.
