You can bring your own cloud storage to configure Google Cloud VM backups.
Procedure

Beside Storage region, click the add button
, and then select Cloud.
The Add cloud storage dialog box appears.

In Type, enter a descriptive name for the cloud storage.

For Storage class, select the storage class for the type of access that you want to have for the data.
For Google Cloud VM backups using the Cloud storage, you can have both primary and secondary backup copies for all VMs in the Hot and Cool tiers.

From the Region list, select the storage region.

For Service host, leave the default value of storage.googleapis.com.

From the MediaAgent list, select the MediaAgent that will write the data to the storage.

For Authentication, select the authentication method to use.

For Credentials, select existing credentials or create a new credential.
Steps to add a new credential for service account
1. Beside Credential, click the add button
.
2. From the Account type list, verify that Cloud Account is selected.
3. From the Vendor type list, verify that Google Cloud is selected.
4. From the Authentication, select Service Account.
5. In Credential Vault, select Built-in or the default type for the credentials.
6. For Credential name, enter a descriptive name for the credentials.
7. For Private key file, click Upload to choose the JSON key file.
8. In Description, enter a description of the credentials.
9. Click Save.
Steps to add a new credential for access and secret keys
1. Beside Credential, click the add button
.
2. From the Account type list, verify that Cloud Account is selected.
3. From the Vendor type list, verify that Google Cloud is selected.
4. From the Authentication, select Access and Secret Keys.
5. In Credential Vault, select Built-in or the default type for the credentials.
6. For Credential name, enter a descriptive name for the credentials.
7. In the Access key ID box, enter the access key ID of the cloud account.
8. In the Secret access key box, enter the secret access key of the cloud account.
9. In Description, enter a description of the credentials.
10. Click Save.

In Bucket, enter a name for the Google Cloud bucket.

To use deduplication, move the Use deduplication toggle key to the right, and then from the DDB MediaAgent list, select the MediaAgent that will write the data to the DDB storage location.

Click Save.
