Viewing the File Search Report on Commvault Cloud

You can view the File Search Report on the Commvault Cloud.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Reports.

    The Reports page appears.

  2. Click File Search.

    The File Search Report appears.

  3. In the Client list, select up to 10 clients that you want to include in the report.

  4. In the File Name field, enter a file name or file path that you are searching for.

    Note

    You can use wildcards in this field (for example, file*.txt, C:\Program Files, or D:\Folder\*.csv)

  5. Optional: Use the following filters to limit the files in the report:

    • In the Max items to show list, select the maximum number of files to include in the report.

      Note

      To export the list of files that match your request, select All under Max items to show. Once the job is complete, you will receive an email with a link to download the report.

    • In the File Size list, select the file size criteria.

    • In the Modified Date list, select the file modified date criteria.

    • In the Last Backup Time list, select the last backup period that you want to apply to the report. You can also select Custom and specify the time range.

    • In the Backup Set list, select the backup sets of the clients that were selected in the Client list in Step 3, above.

    • In the Subclients list, select the subclients of the backup sets selected in the Backup Set list, above.

    • In the Options list, select the following:

      • Select Show deleted files to show files that are deleted in the backup.

      • Select Show only archived files to only show files that are archived in the backup.

  6. Click Apply.

    The data is displayed according to the options you selected.
