Use the Custom Configuration Option in the Office 365 Guided Setup for SharePoint Online

If you don't want to use the Microsoft login information, which is required by the express configuration option, you can use the custom configuration option.

Before using the custom configuration you must,

  • Register the Azure app for SharePoint Online.

  • Create an Azure certificate using Microsoft PowerShell commands and upload it in the Azure website.

You can either perform the app registration manually or you can use the configuration helper tool to automate the app registration.

Procedure

  1. Register the Azure app by using one of the below options:

  2. Create an Azure certificate.

  3. Create the SharePoint Online app.
