Storage Options for In-Guest Agent Backups

Commvault Cloud supports many combinations of options for primary (local) and secondary (cloud) storage for your in-guest agent backups.

This page applies to all physical and virtual machines that are protected using in-guest agents in the following subscriptions:

Cross-region backups are not supported.
Cross-region backups within the same cloud service provider are supported. Configuring a secondary copy in a different region will result in egress charges.
To enable cross-region copies using Air Gap Protect, contact Commvault Cloud support.
Cross-cloud backups are supported only with backup gateways. Configuring a secondary copy in a different region will result in egress charges.
This storage option applies only to on-premises workloads.
This storage option is available only if you skip the local storage configuration.
