Storage Options for Cloud Database Backups

Commvault Cloud supports many combinations of options for primary (local) and secondary (cloud) storage for your cloud-native database backups.

Storage options apply to all clients physical or virtual protected using in-guest agents in database subscriptions.

Notes

Cross region is not supported.
Cross region within the same cloud service provider is supported. Configuring secondary copy in different region will result in inter-region data transfer cost.
Cross cloud is supported only for the backup gateway method. Configuring secondary copy in different region will result in egress data transfer costs.
