Storage Options for Cloud Database Backups

Commvault Cloud supports many combinations of options for primary (local) and secondary (cloud) storage for your cloud-native database backups.

Storage options apply to all clients physical or virtual protected using in-guest agents in database subscriptions.

Notes

Cross-region backups are not supported.
Cross-region backups within the same cloud service provider are supported. Configuring a secondary copy in a different region will result in egress charges.
To enable cross-region copies using Air Gap Protect, contact Commvault Cloud support.
Cross-cloud backups are supported only with backup gateways. Configuring a secondary copy in a different region will result in egress charges.
