Restoring a SharePoint Site to Another SharePoint Site

You can restore the SharePoint Online sites to another SharePoint site.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

   The Office 365 Overview page appears.

2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

   The Overview page of the app appears.

3. On the Sites tab, select the sites you want to restore, and then select Restore > Restore sites.

   The Select Sites tab appears.

4. On the Destination tab, select Restore the data to another location selected, specify the restore location, and then click Next.

   • To restore the site to a different client, move the Restore to a different client toggle key to the right, and then in the Destination client list, select the client where you want to restore.

   • Beside the Destination path box, click Browse, select a SharePoint Online site, and then click Select.

   The Options tab appears.

5. Beside If documents exists, the Unconditionally overwrite option will be selected by default.

   The Skip option is disabled and cannot be selected.

6. Configure any of the additional options, and then click Next:

   • To restore deleted items, select Include deleted items.

   • To restore only the latest version of the site, select Restore latest version only.

   • To skip lookup metadata for items being restored, select Skip lookup metadata.

   The Review tab appears.

7. Review your selections, and then click Submit.

   The Summary tab appears.

8. Click Close.
