Restoring a SharePoint Online Site to Its Original Location

You can restore an entire site to the location that it was backed up from. Site permissions will be reverted to how they were at the selected date and time.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

   The Office 365 Overview page appears.

2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

   The Overview page of the app appears.

3. On the Sites tab, select a site, and then at the right area of the page, click Restore > Restore sites.

   The Restore Options tool appears.

4. On the Date and Time tab, specify the Recovery point date and time and click Next.

   The Destination tab appears.

5. Leave Restore to original sites selected, and then click Next.

   The Review tab appears.

6. Review the items you selected for restore, and then click Next to start the restore operation.

   The Summary tab appears.

7. Click Close.
