You can restore Oracle RAC data to a new host, or to a new host and a new database.
Data Available to Restore
You can restore any of the following data:

Before You Begin
Instances that are automatically discovered are configured with the "/" (slash) character as the connect string. However, for out-of-place restores and duplicating a database in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or OCI), the connect string for the target database instance properties must be configured in USERNAME/PASSWORD@SERVICENAME format. Also, the target database instance properties must be configured in this format if you will be running data masking on the target machine in a cloud environment.
Set the database to the correct mode defined in the table.

Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The Instances page appears.

Click the instance.
The instance page appears.

On the Overview tab, in the Recovery points section, select the backup to restore, and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.

Select the data that you want to restore, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

Select the Out of place tab.

From the Destination server list, select the host to restore to.

From the Destination instance list, select the instance to restore to.

To change the number of streams to use for the restore, in the Number of streams box, enter the number of streams to use.

To redirect the database or individual table spaces, do the following:

Click Redirect options.
The Redirect path options dialog box appears.

To redirect the database, click Database, and then enter the full path for the new location of the database.

To redirect individual tablespaces and datafiles, click Tablespaces and datafiles. For each tablespace that you want to redirect:

Expand the tablespace.

In the Datafiles box, change the path to the new location.

To redirect the temporary tablespaces, move the Redirect temporary tablespaces toggle to the right, and then enter the full path for the new location.

To change the characteristics of the online redo logs, move the Online redo logs toggle to the right, and then enter the information for the redo logs.

Click Save.

Select the data that you want to restore.
These options only appear if you chose to restore all the tablespaces.

To restore the database or individual tablespaces, select the Database check box and clear the Control file check box.

To restore the control file, clear the Database check box and select the Control file check box.

To restore the SP file, clear the Database check box and select the SP File check box.

Choose if you want to apply the archive files to the data files or if you want to only restore the archive log files:

To apply the archive files to the data files select Recover to, and then specify how you want to apply the archive files to the data files.

To only restore the archive log, select Restore archive log, and then do the following:

Choose the archive log type and specify the start and end information for that type.

In the Target directory box, enter the full path to the directory.

To automatically move the database or selected tablespaces to the correct offline mode before the restore, select the Switch Database Mode check box.

To customize the script for this restore operation, click PREVIEW.
The preview window appears.- To customize the script, click CUSTOMIZE.
The Customize script window appears. - On the Ctrl/SP file script or on the Database script tab, modify the script.
- Click SUBMIT to submit the modified script.
- To customize the script, click CUSTOMIZE.

If you did not customize the script, click SUBMIT.
