Restoring OCI Object Storage Data Out of Place

To restore an object storage repository backup to a different bucket in the same account or to a different region in the OCI, use the restore out-of-place operation.

Note

  • If the Include sub-compartments option is enabled on the destination object storage client, then the buckets will be restored to a compartment that has the same name as the source bucket's compartment, in the destination OCI account. If the compartment does not exist in the destination OCI account, then the buckets will be restored to the configured compartment on the destination object storage client.

  • If the Include sub-compartments option is disabled on the destination object storage client, then the buckets will be restored to the configured compartment on the destination object storage client.

    The Object storage page appears.
