Preparing the environment for Commvault HyperScale X deployment is the next important step.

Preparation involves the following:

1. Set up the DNS

2. Set up the Switches

3. Check the hardware requirements for the Hyperscale node.

4. Check the HyperScale Software Version on the Hyperscale node to ensure that you have the most recent version.

5. OPTIONAL: Plan for deployments larger than 12 Nodes if your initial deployment consists of 12 or more nodes.
