Performing a 1-Touch Backup Using ReaR

1-Touch backups using ReaR creates a system state backup. After you enable 1-Touch, perform a full backup of the default subclient.

Prerequisites

• ReaR and any other dependent packages must be installed on the computer.

• File System Agent must be installed on the computer.

• Enable ReaR for 1-Touch backups, see, Enabling ReaR for 1-Touch Backups.

• Enable new rescue image creation, see Overriding ReaR Disk Layout Check.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

   The file servers Overview page appears.

2. On the Files tab, click the file server.

   The file server page appears.

3. Under Subclients, in the Actions column for the subclient, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

4. For Backup options, select Full as the backup type.

5. Optional: To receive Email and CommCell Console alert notifications when the backup operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.

6. Click OK.

Result

A ReaR rescue ISO CVrearRescue.iso is created.
