Starting with Commvault Cloud Platform Release 2024E (11.36), Commvault Cloud utilizes S3 Export for the DynamoDB backup and restore operations instead of Scan API. The DynamoDB instances created before 2024E (11.36) continue to use Scan API.
You can enable the S3 export for the existing scan-based DynamoDB instances.
Before You Begin
-
Make sure that the instances are region specific.

The DynamoDB tables should only be from one region.

Note
Enabling S3 export is an irreversible process. Once enabled, you cannot disable it.
