Downloading Packages to a Laptop or Desktop Computer

To backup and monitor endpoint data, the Endpoint package must be installed on your users' laptops and desktops. You can ask your users to download and to install the laptop package, or you can perform a silent installation of the laptop package. In this procedure, you can download the laptop package to the computer manually.

Before You Begin

Ensure that the computer has one of the following supported operating systems:

Windows

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Editions to Microsoft Windows Client 11 Editions

Macintosh

  • macOS Sequoia (v15.x)

  • macOS Sonoma (v14.x)

  • macOS Ventura (v13.x)

  • macOS Monterey (v12.x)

  • Both Intel-based Macintosh computers and Apple Silicon processors (ARM64) are supported.

Linux

  • Debian recent releases

  • Fedora recent releases

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS recent releases

  • Ubuntu recent releases

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Laptops.

    The Laptops page appears.

  2. On the Overview tab, in the top right corner, click actions Actions_dotted_button_black > Download packages.

    The Add laptop page appears with a list of packages for different operating systems.

  3. Based on the computer's operating system, in the row for the package you want to download, in the Download column, click Download Download_button_black.
