Data Views for the Laptop Backup Health Report

The Laptop Backup Health report displays information about the backup status of laptops in the environment.

Filters

Company: To view information only for laptops belonging to specific companies, click the Company list, and then select one or more companies. By default, all companies in the CommCell environment are selected.

Default SLA Days: To view information for the default SLA duration, which is 30 days, or for a different time range, click the Default SLA Days list, and select one of the time duration options. By default, Default SLA Days is selected.

Status Tiles

  • Total Laptops: The total number of laptops in the CommCell environment.

  • Backed Up: The total number of backed-up laptops in the CommCell environment.

  • Not Backed Up: The total number of laptops that are not backed up in the CommCell environment.

  • Excluded: The number of laptops excluded from backups in the CommCell environment.

  • Never Backed Up: The number of laptops that have never been backed up in the CommCell environment.

  • Retired: The number of retired laptops in the CommCell environment.

  • Recently Installed: The number of computers on which a laptop package was installed in the last 30 days.

  • Laptops Without Owner: The number of laptops without an owner in the CommCell environment.

Backup Health Status for Laptops

The Summary table displays information about the backup status of laptops in your environment.

Column

Description

Company

The name of the company the laptops belong to.

Total Laptops

The total number of laptops in the company.

Backed Up

The number of backed-up laptops in the company.

Not Backed Up

The number of laptops in the company that are not backed up, because:

  • The backup job failed. Verify that the network connectivity between each laptop, the network gateway, and cloud blob storage is good.

  • Backup schedules are not assigned. Verify that the laptop is activated or switched on.

Excluded

The number of laptops excluded from backups, because:

  • The laptop is recently installed.

  • The laptop has been offline. Verify the network connectivity of the Laptop and whether it is switched on.

  • The laptop is deconfigured.

  • Backups are disabled.

Never Backed Up

The number of laptops that have never been backed up in the company.

Recently Installed

The number of computers on which the company laptop package was installed in the last 30 days.

Total Laptops

The Laptops table displays information about the laptops in the company.

Column

Description

Company

Version of Commvault Cloud on laptop.

Laptop

The laptop name.

Last Online Time

The last time the laptop was online and communicated with the CommServe server.

Last Offline Time

The last time the laptop was offline and did not communicate with the CommServe server.

Owner

The names of the laptop owners.

Last Successful Backup

The date and time of the last successful backup.

Last Job Failure Reason

The reason the last backup job was a failure.

Total Backup Size

The size of data that was backed up.

SLA Reason

Indicates whether or not the laptop was backed up according to SLA:

  • Protected: Laptop was backed up according to SLA.

  • Longtime Offline: Laptop was not backed up according to the SLA.

Exclusion Category

The reason the laptop was excluded from the last backup.
