    The Salesforce Overview page appears.

  2. Go to the Organizations tab.

  3. In the Name column, click the app.

    The app details page appears.

  4. On the Monitoring tab, click New alert.

    The Add rule dialog appears.

  5. From the Objects list, select the objects to apply the rule to.

  6. From the Criteria list specify the kind of change you want the rule to apply to: Added, Deleted, or Modified.

For example, if you want the alert to be triggered when contacts are deletedDate then set the Objects field to include Contact, and set the Criteria field to include Deleted.

  7. For the Type setting, choose Number if you want the alert to apply to a specific number of objects, or choose Percentage if you want the alert to apply to a certain percentage of objects.

  8. Use the relationship field, which is set to Greater than by default, to specify whether you want the alert to be triggered when the criteria applies to a number that Equals, is Greater than, or Less than the value that you then enter in the amount field. The amount field is set to 10000 by default.
