The Cost assessment dashboard provides a comprehensive view of cost estimates that you might incur to backup your cloud resources and helps you gain deeper insights on associated costs. The dashboard You can download or run the assessment with different retention settings and other parameters.
The dashboard provides following options:

To export the assessment report, click Download.

To view the list of Azure subscriptions or AWS regions associated with the cloud resources fetched for cost assessment, click Configuration.

To customize parameters, click Customize and modify the values. For more information, see Running Cost Assessment with Custom Parameters.

To rerun the assessment, click Run Assessment.
Data Views for the Cost Assessment Dashboard
The Cost assessment dashboard includes total cost and storage forecast KPI for Year-1 and Year-3. The Annual cost table displays the total storage and cost estimates for available resources based on resource type such as VMs, databases, and file and object storage.

| Resource type | The type of resource such as VM, database, and file and object storage. You can expand the resource type to view the number of assets discovered for each asset type. Click on the count value to view the list of resources. |
| Number of resources | The number of resources associated with the specified Azure subscription or AWS account. |
| Total storage | The total storage of the discovered resources. |
| Total cost | The total of estimated Air Gap Protect storage and license costs. This value is calculated based on the Daily change rate, Utilization factor (only for VMs), Annual growth rate and Standard retention specified. |
