Reducing Usage for Microsoft 365

To reduce the amount of used storage (or increase the amount of free storage space), you can use the following strategies.

1. Review the usage report and determine how much of your purchased storage is currently used.

2. Purchase additional capacity or users. Contact your account team to update your purchased licenses.

3. Delete backed-up data. Deleting backed-up data in storage does not affect the data in your source:

   • Exchange Online

   • OneDrive for Business

   • SharePoint Online

   • Teams
