The backup plan that you select for the Amazon S3 object storage repository manages scheduled backups. You can also perform on-demand backups at any time.
You can back up the object storage repositories with full, incremental, or synthetic full backups.
In addition, with full and incremental backups, you can back up the following information at the object level:

Metadata of the object

ACLs of the object

Tags of the object
Note
After a full backup, if the tag or ACL list of an object is modified but the data has not changed, then the next incremental backup will not include that object. Incremental backups only include objects whose data has changed.
