Adding a Region to Store Laptop Backup Data

You can add a new Commvault Cloud storage region to store backup data of laptops located in or near the geographic region.

Before You Begin

Create a laptop plan to back up data to the new Commvault Cloud storage region.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Laptops.

    The Laptops page appears.

  2. On the Overview tab, in the top right corner, click actions Actions_dotted_button_black > Add region.

    The Add a Metallic storage region to store endpoint backups dialog box appears.

  3. From the Select a plan list, select a laptop plan.

  4. From the Metallic storage by region list, select a region.

  5. Click Add.

Results

The Commvault Cloud software will automatically back up data from laptops in the geographic region to the newly provisioned Microsoft Azure storage.
