As a one-time setup, you will need to configure your Office 365 app in the Premium Microsoft 365 Backup Storage Solution.
To add an app, you will need to register and activate a backup controller on your Microsoft 365 tenant. This is a one-time registration, after which you wiill only need to activate the backup controller while adding a Microsoft 365 app.
Configure Office 365 App and Backup Controller

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.
The Office 365 Overview page appears.

On the Apps tab, click on Add office 365 app
The Configure Office 365 App tab appears.

In the Select the backup service tab, select Commvault Cloud with Premium Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, and then click on Next.
The Backup controller tab appears.

Click on Add backup controller.
The Configure backup controller tab appears.

Authorize the Azure app on the Microsoft login page using the Global Admin credentials.
A Microsoft window displays all the permissions that are required to access the Azure app.
If the browser pop-up blocker blocks the Microsoft window, allow access to the Microsoft window.
The backup controller will be registered and activated once the authorization is complete.

Click Close.
After you have registered and activated the backup controller, you can proceed with creating an app for each of the Microsoft 365 workloads.
