You can create a content group to archive and analyze data.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Archiving.
The Archive file servers page appears.

In the upper-right corner of the page, from the Add list, select Content group.
The Add content group page appears.

Select Archive and Analyze, and then click Next.
The Add content group page appears.

From the Select Access Nodes list, select the access nodes to use for the content group, and then click Next.
You can select an existing access node or create a new access node.
Note
For CIFS shares add a Windows access node and for NFS shares add a Linux access node. Verify that Windows access nodes have access and permissions to the CIFS share.

From the Server list, select the source NAS server.
You can select an existing NAS server or create a new NAS server.
To create a new NAS server, click the add
button, enter a name and host name for the NAS server, and then click Create.

From the Region list, select the location closest to the NAS server.
The metadata is stored in the selected location.

In the User name and Password boxes, enter the credentials to access the UNC path, and then click Next.

From the Plan list, select an archive plan.
You can select an existing plan or create a new plan.

In the Name box, enter a name for the content group.

In the Content area, to specify the data to include in the content group:

To select items from a file system view of the server, from the Add list, click Browse.

To enter paths to items you want to include in archiving jobs, from the Add list, click Custom Path.
By default, the content browse for NFS will be in automounted format. For example, file_server_interface:/NFS_export_path/.

To exclude items from archiving jobs, move the Specify exclusions toggle to the right, and then do the following:

To select items from a file system view of the server, from the Add list, click Browse, and then select the check boxes for the items that you want to exclude from archiving jobs.

To enter paths to items you want to exclude from archiving jobs, from the Add list, click Custom Path, enter a filter pattern, and then click the add
button.

To configure exceptions to the exclusion filters, move the Specify Exceptions toggle key to the right, and then do the following:

To select items from a file system view of the server, from the Add list, click Browse, and then select the check boxes for the items that you want to except from the exclusion filters.

To enter paths to items you want to except from the exclusion filters, from the Add list, click Custom Path, enter a filter pattern, and then click the add
button.

Click Next.

Click Submit.
