For better job throughput, add at least five Azure apps to the Exchange Online app. You can increase the number of Azure apps based on the number of mailboxes associated to the Exchange Online app.
The Commvault Cloud software creates Azure apps based on MSAL (Microsoft Authentication Library), not ADAL (Azure Active Directory Authentication Library).
To add Azure apps, you can use either the express configuration option or the custom configuration option:

Express: The express configuration automates some configuration steps, but it requires you to use the Microsoft login information to authorize the Azure app.

Custom: The custom configuration is a manual process. Use this option if you want to enter the app details manually.

As a best practice, configure IP whitelisting for the apps created in Office 365 tenant environment. For more information, refer Network Connectivity.
