You can enable power management for a server group that the cloud MediaAgents are associated to or for a specific cloud MediaAgent.
Note
After you enable power management for a cloud MediaAgent, do not turn on or turn off the MediaAgent from the console that is provided by the vendor.
Enabling Power Management for a Server Group
You can enable power management for a server group. The power management feature is automatically enabled for the cloud MediaAgent associated with the server group.
Before You Begin

Verify that the cloud MediaAgent uses a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) or a static publicly accessible IP address.

Select the Auto-start services when OS starts checkbox for the cloud MediaAgent.

For the cloud MediaAgent in a Linux environment, verify that the dmidecode tool is available.
For more information about the tool, see dmidecode.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Server groups.
The Server groups page appears.

Click the server group.
The server group page appears.

Click the Configuration tab.

in the Power management area, click Edit.
The Edit power management dialog box appears.

Select Enable power management, and then select the Cloud account.

Click Save.
Enabling Power Management for a Cloud MediaAgent
You can enable power management for a cloud MediaAgent. You can opt to use the power management settings of the server group that the MediaAgent is associated with or configure different settings.

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure page appears.

Click the MediaAgent tile.
The MediaAgent page appears.

Click the MediaAgent.
The MediaAgent page appears.

In the Power management area, click Edit.
The Edit power management dialog box appears.

Select one of the following options:

Use server group settings: This is the default option. Select this option to use the power management settings of the server group that the MediaAgent is associated with.

Use MediaAgent settings: Select this option to configure different settings for the MediaAgent.

If you selected the Use MediaAgent settings option, complete the following steps:

Select Enable power management.
-
Select the Cloud account.
-

Click Save.
