Excluding a User or a User Group from Backups of a OneDrive for Business App

You can exclude a user or a user group from backups of a OneDrive for Business app. Excluding a user does not remove the user from the app, but the user's data is not backed up.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

    The Office 365 Overview page appears.

  2. On the Apps tab, click the app.

  3. The Overview page of the app appears.

  4. Perform one of the following tasks depending on the entity you want to exclude:

    • On the Users tab, select one or more users that you want to exclude, click the menu icon , and then click Manage > Exclude from backup.

    • On the Content tab, select one or more user groups that you want to exclude, click the menu icon , and then click Manage > Exclude from backup.

    A confirmation dialog box appears.

  5. Click Yes.
