You can view subscription usage for databases in the Dynamics 365 Report.
Unique users are calculated for all Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) applications as follows:
Unique IDs in Active Directory that are employees of the company that licensed Dynamics 365 are counted as unique users.
Unique users that have full access to one or more of the Dynamics 365 applications are counted as unique users.
Unique users that have direct access to more than one application are only counted one time.
If a user was protected for one or more days in the month, the user is counted. The user is counted even if they are removed from a backup schedule within the same month. If data that is associated with the user is backed up, the user is counted.
For example, if data for User 1 and User 2 is protected on the first day of the month, and User 1 is removed from the system later that month, the total number of unique users for the month is 2. In the following month, if User 1 does not have full access to Dynamics 365 and User 2 does, the total number of unique users is 1.
