Installing Windows File System Agent on the Client Computer

Install the File System package on the client computer.

Before You Begin

• On the Windows client, install the File System package to perform file-level system state backups. To perform block level system state backups, also install the MediaAgent package.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

   The Overview page appears.

2. On the File Servers tab, in the Actions column for the server, click the action button , and then click Add software.

   The Add software dialog box appears.

3. In the Select Package(s) for field, select File System.

   Note

   To perform block level system state backups, install the MediaAgent package.

4. Click OK.

5. Click Install.
