Getting Started with Azure Database for MariaDB

Complete the necessary setup for backing up Azure Database for MariaDB.

Procedure

  1. Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for Azure Database for MariaDB.

  2. If you do not have a registered Azure app, register a new Azure app.

  3. Complete the database guided setup using one of the following methods:

    • Commvault Cloud Infrastructure: Use this method to back up Azure databases that can be accessed via a public endpoint. This method uses the Commvault Cloud infrastructure, so you don't need to configure your own backup gateways.

    • Backup gateway: Use this method to back up Azure databases that cannot be accessed using a public endpoint. This method requires installing a Metallic backup gateway adjacent to your Azure databases.
