Use this dialog box to manage the SharePoint Server properties.
Client Name
Displays the name of the client computer on which this Agent is installed.
iDataAgent
Displays the identity of the Agent that is installed on the client computer.
Installed date
Displays the date on which the Agent was installed or upgraded on the client computer.
Service account
Displays the SharePoint service account that has required rights to create and modify SharePoint databases. This account will be used for data protection and recovery operations.
Change Account
Click to change the SharePoint user account. Type the user ID and password of an account that has access to the SharePoint farm.
Click this button in the following two cases:

if you have installed a SharePoint Server agent
-
if you have changed the SharePoint service account from the Windows Services, and it now differs from the one displayed for Service account.
Note

If you changed the SharePoint service account from the Windows Services and restarted the Commvault services, by default, the new user account information is updated in the SharePoint Server Properties dialog box.

Each time you that change the SharePoint user account, ensure to restart the Commvault services from the Process Manager.

After the services are restarted, type the password manually in the Change user account dialog box.

If you do not want the new account information to get updated in the SharePoint Server Properties dialog box, from the Windows Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CommVault Systems\Galaxy\Instancexxx\MSSharepointDocAgent, and create a DWORD registry key bChangeSharepointUser. Set its value as 0.
Validate Account
SharePoint service account must be a member of the local administrators group.

SharePoint Server Name
Displays the name of the SharePoint Server that is installed on the client computer. Use this space to modify this server name if the name displayed is incorrect (e.g., not the same as the Client name or Host name).
SharePoint Version
Use this list to select the appropriate SharePoint Server version.
Description
Use this field to enter a description about the entity. You can include information such as the entity's content, and cautionary notes.
If SQL Snap feature is not enabled, lock site collection for write access during Site Collection backups
This option is selected by default. Clear this option when Site Collection should remain in read and write mode during backups. Clearing this option is not recommended for potential impact to backup integrity.
